Meet the Cast

This is Christina who plays a role as the main character of our film opening. In our script we portray how she encounters her conflict between her corrupt mental illness leading her to have her hallucinarions and deliusions of her father reincarnation and the reality of her being in the institution.

This is Maria who will play the part as the nurse in the mirror scene with Christina and David in the bathroom. She plays her role of the nurse as part of 'reality' whereas David is shown as her imagination.

This is the crowd who play a part as Christina's imagination. They are the ones who end the scene by enclosing into Christina leaving her with the blackout. From left to right we have Dele, Mario, Martin, David, Rene, Pascal and Joseph

This is Beatriz and she has created our credits of the ECG heart monitor using Adobe Fireworks as well as our company logo PVA productions. She also filmed the preliminary task of myself and Roshani. Beatriz created the credits of the cast using Adobe Flash CS5 and recorded the beep using her phone to put over. Beatriz was able to succesfully create the logo and credits as being an ICT students had the best understanding in using the software. Beatriz also filmed many shots of our film opening such as the toilet scene which was the most challenging scene to film in terms of the different angles and shots which we had to capture.

This is Mario who will be playing as the father of Christina. His appearance in our opening is due to Christina hallucinating when she looks in the mirror and will also be the voices in her head from things which were said in the past leading her to her mental illness. He is shown in the scenes which are viewed through Christina's mind but however will not be seen in reality such as through the eyes of the nurse and in the CCTV camera in the lift. For his character we applied white face paint to give him that deathly look and also fake blood for a more violent and scary effect.

This is Roshani who has created the shooting scripts for our opening using powerpoint and prezi. She has also organised the different props and costumes which we will be using during our filming such as the fake blood and costumes such as the nurse outfit and hospital gown. She also analysed the media questionnaire results as well as the location reports for our filming using google images. Roshani also created both shooting scripts and contributed in creating the credits in terms of deciding the colour and timing.

I took part in the prelimary task by acting in it and drew the photographs for our storyboards. In terms of our production of the thriller opening i filmed some of the first scene in the corridor and contributed alongside Roshani and Beatriz in directing some parts. I created the production schedule using 'Prezzi' and also our production diary on powerpoint. As I edited most of the preliminary task using Adobe Premiere Pro I was also able to edit most of our final production in terms of editing and putting together the different scenes filmed. I was also able to assist Roshani in developing the CCTV camera effect on Adobe Aftereffects in giving the black and white effect which she researched using youtube.
